The Firm was founded by Huka Abudho Mamo to provide top-notch legal services to individuals, private and public institutions. We act for and advise our clients on wide range of capital markets transactions including mergers and acquisition, take-overs, restructuring, amalgamations, listing on securities exchanges or commodities exchange, initial public offerings and private placement, licensing of stock brokers, investment banks, investment advisers, mutual funds, unit trusts, Dealers. We draft transactional documents, agreements on capital markets as well as carrying out legal and regulatory compliance audit for our clients in the capital market sector.

Land is one of the most important factors of production and transactions and agreements relating to land must be carefully done with due regard to the law and interests of the parties. We engage in conveyancing practice by acting for parties in conveyancing transactions including by: Carrying out due diligence on the transaction, Advising parties to the transactions, Drafting sale agreements, charges, leases and transfers, Perfecting securities on behalf of the lender, Engrossing land agreements, Facilitating execution of the agreements, Registering instruments in land transactions at the land registry; and Performing all legal duties in conveyancing transactions on behalf of the purchasers, vendors, chargors, chargees, and/or borrowers as the case may be.

Corporate and Commercial law

We provide quality legal advice on commercial and corporate law and assist our clients to carry out their local and international commercial transactions by drafting agreements, providing consultancy and facilitating their compliance with corporate and corporate law. We also help both local and foreign clients establish their businesses by facilitating: incorporation of private or public companies, Registration of branches of foreign companies, Registration and incorporation of NGOS, trusts, foundations, partnerships, cooperatives, business names and other forms of businesses, Tax registration services; and Application for investment certificates for foreign investors.

Consultancy and Corporate Secretarial Practice

Huka Abudho & Co. Advocates engages in the provision of consultancy services on all legal issues and corporate governance. We offer our clients quick and well researched practical legal opinions on their legal problems. The Firm further provides corporate secretarial services including attending board meetings and taking down minutes, drafting board resolutions and filing companies’ annual returns.

Huka Abudho
Founder & Managing Partner

Huka Abudho Mamo is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Founder and the Managing Partner of Huka Abudho & Co. Advocates. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB, Hons) from Moi University and Post-Graduate Diploma from Kenya School of Law. He has diverse experience working in both private and public sector. Previously, Huka has worked as an Associate at Amin & Co. Advocates where he was mainly dealing with corporate and commercial matters, conveyancing, constitutional and environmental law practice. Huka has worked at Mboya Wangong’u & Waiyaki Advocates, one of the top law firms in Kenya under the supervision of the firm’s partners where he gained invaluable experience and practical knowledge of commercial law practice. He had also worked at the Regulatory Framework Department of the Capital Markets Authority, Kenya where he was actively involved in preparation of, drafting and reviewing capital markets regulations, guidance notes and rules and corporate governance instruments. He has also worked at Wetangula, Adan & Makokha Advocates and is therefore an adept practicing advocate with vast legal experience and knowledge. Huka is a Certified Secretary Finalist and a member of the Law Society of Kenya and the East African Law Society.
Isacko Ali Sharamo
Lawyer

Isacko Ali holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB, Hons) from the University of Nairobi and is currently a student at the Kenya School of Law. Isacko had previously worked at various institutions including the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) where he gained invaluable experience in civil and environmental law litigation, commercial law, constitutional law and conveyancing practice. Isacko is a highly competent, innovative and diligent lawyer with vast experience and keen interest in environmental law, Technology law and public interest matters.
